This product is the dried leaf (or tender branch) of Perilla frutescens (L.) Britt., a plant of the Labiatae family. It is harvested in summer when the branches and leaves are lush, impurities are removed, and it is dried in the sun.

Expels wind-cold, disperses cold, promotes the flow of Qi and harmonizes the stomach. Used for wind-cold colds, cough, vomiting, pregnancy vomiting, and fish and shellfish poisoning.
